Governors Information

“Bringing out the Best in Everyone”
Welcome to the Governing Body
of Pebble Brook School
The Governing Body plays a vital role in the strategic management of the School working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
Key Functions:
– Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
– Hold the Headteacher to account
– Monitor the school’s finances
Committees:
In addition to the Full Governing Body there are two main committees, Pupil Support and Corporate Services. Both have delegated powers to enable governors to have detailed discussion and make decisions. The Full Governing Body and committees meet once a term.
Link Roles:
Governors also have a link role to monitor and review outcomes for children. This gives governors the opportunity to go into the School and meet with subject leaders, pupils and attend special events.
Our school ethos ‘Bringing Out The Best In Everyone’ recognises the potential of every child; as a governing body we believe in a collaborative approach, working with pupils, families and the community, to prepare children for the challenges and opportunities they will face.
Whilst your first point of contact for matters regarding your child remains their Class Tutor and then the Senior Leadership Team the Governing Body can be contacted at chairofgovernors@pebblebrookschool.com
