The Friends of Pebble Brook School is about much more than simply fundraising. Its aims are to provide closer links between home and school and FoPBS is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school.
All parents and members of the school community are automatically members of FoPBS and you do not need to be a committee member to support us. The group is very conscious of the ethos and diversity of the school and tries hard when organising and planning events to respect this.
We are a registered charity and therefore abide by Charity Commission rules. As a charity, we are able to receive charitable donations from local and national companies and are able to apply to grant-making charitable trusts.
Money raised in the past has supported off-site activities for pupils such as visits to the theatre, Theme Park trips, outings to local attractions such as Beaconsfield Model Village and art exhibitions. We paid for the sign at the front of the school after our refurbishment.
Not all events are run as fundraisers – some are purely for enjoyment. We have a visible presence at events such as Parents’ Evenings and Open Days.
We are always looking for ways to raise money and welcome ideas and suggestions from anyone and everyone. Our pupils are encouraged to become involved in fundraising – not only for FoPBS but also for others less fortunate than themselves.
We are all in this together!!
